No wonder, her sensibility and maturity makes her feel amused about the entire hoopla that is created when actors kiss on the screen or expose for the camera.

“I guess we should move out of this mentality and do it real fast. The way the media reacts to something as common as kissing is really strange”, says Koena in an exasperated tone.

John and Bipasha part ways on Colombo

Says a source close to John and Bipasha, “Bipasha proceeded to Colombo at the last minute without John. This was the first time she attended this annual jamboree without John and no, she wasn’t sulking over the matter. Bipasha had no choice but to attend because she had to represent her film Lamhaa in Colombo.”
Initially Bipasha did try to convince John to accompany her. But keeping in mind the Tamilian sentiments he opted out.

Shahid excited about being directed by father

Bollywood hearthrob Shahid Kapoor, who has just been seen in con film “Badmaash Company”, is extremely excited about his forthcoming film “Mausam” which is the directorial debut of his father Pankaj Kapoor.

“Will be off soon to Scotland…very excited about shooting under dad’s direction…a year of learning this will be,” the actor posted on his Twitter page. “Mausam” is an out-and-out romantic film.

The 29-year-old is also elated about the success of “Badmaash Company”.

Hrithik Roshan mobbed by media on Shirdi visit

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who went with his family to the holy town of Shirdi Saturday to pray for the success of his forthcoming movie “Kites”, was left disappointed after being mobbed by the media.
Hrithik, who stars opposite Mexican actress Barbara Mori for “Kites”, is known for his calm nature. He said he reacted strongly because he felt his privacy with his family was being invaded.

Anushka Sharma has gone in for an image makeover in “Badmaash Company” where she not only wears stylish clothes but also has a kissing scene with Shahid Kapoor.

“I don’t see it as a kissing scene. It’s a part of the screenplay. I think cinema is changing and we are not doing (kissing) for the heck of it. We do not need to do this (kiss on screen) to attract attention,” Anushka told IANS in an interview.

Anushka’s gang in the film comprises Shahid, Vir Das and Miang Chang. And she says they gelled well.

Karan in New York for ‘My Name Is Khan’ English release

Mumbai, Filmmaker Karan Johar is currently in New York for the release of the English version of "My Name Is Khan", which he says is a "crisper, sharper cut". Once he returns, he starts work on the new season of his popular chat show "Koffee With Karan".

The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will release in two theatres in New York Wednesday.

Boycott animal circuses, urges Malaika Arora

Model-turned-actress Malaika Arora will be seen urging people to boycott animals circuses in a new PETA ad.
She will be seen in a form-fitting white macaw ensemble dress in the new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ad, which reads “Wild Birds Don’t Belong in the Circus. Boycott Animal Circuses.”

“Robbing birds of flight, forcing them to live in tiny, filthy cages and tormenting them into performing silly tricks are acts of cruelty to animals. I ask all my fans to boycott circuses which use animals,” she said in a press statement.
According to PETA, many birds are kept in filthy and unhealthy conditions, and their wings are clipped so that they cannot fly away. Macaws are confined to cages so small that they cannot stretch their wings or legs and medical care is rarely, if ever, provided.

Freida Pinto is “flattered” by rumours linking her to a role in the new 007 movie but insists that she is not “beautiful” enough to play a Bond girl.
“It was very flattering. I don’t know if I would have done it. I am too young to be a Bond girl and you need someone more mature and beautiful than me,” starpulse.com quoted Frieda as saying.
Frieda was recently reported to have signed up to play Daniel Craig’s love interest in the next James Bond blockbuster, which will be directed by Sam Mendes.

Vikram Bhatt uses witches' alphabets in Shaapit

Director Vikram Bhatt will be making his trilogy to horror movies with his upcoming movie Shaapit after Raaz and 1920. The movie incorporates Theban, or the Witches’ Alphabet which is used in witchcraft to hide magical writing from prying eyes. It serves to disguise the meaning of a text and to give it a mystical quality. Vikram Bhatt has extensively researched Theban before using it in the movie.
The movie will mark the debut of Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal and is slated for release on 19th March.
