Green Chicken
Ingredients
For Marinating
- Chicken ½ kilo Washed
- Fresh Dhaniya ½ gaddi Chopped
- Green chillies 3-5 Chopped
- Yoghurt 1 Cup
- Ginger/Garlic Paste – 2 Tbsp
- Black Pepper (Freshly grounded) 1 Tsp
- Salt – 1 to 1 ½ Tsp (Or according to taste)
For Frying And Cooking
- Oil 3/4th cup
- Zeera 1 Tsp (Crushed)
- Black Pepper 1 /2 Tsp (or 1 according to taste)
- Capsicum 1 to 2 (Cut into rings)
- Onion 1 Medium (Cut into rings)
Procedure
- Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients (mentioned under “for marinating”) mix well and put aside for 1 to 2 hours.
- Heat the oil and add the crushed Zeera and Black pepper in it.
- Add the chicken with all the mixture in the oil when the aroma of zeera is felt. (don’t let the zeera burn or get too brown, i.e)
- Mix the chicken and let it cook with the lid closed for 20 to 30 mins. Keep mixing in b/w to check it doesn’t burn.
- When the chicken is tender, taste and add salt if required.
- Add the Capsicum rings and Onion rings on top and mix, close the lid and cook for another 5 to 10 mins (till the capsicum and onion is tender).
- Serve hot with fresh Naan. And eat by the Masnoon way. (This quantity Serves 4 persons).
